About Mae Fah Luang University
Established in 1998 by royal decree of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej, Mae Fah Luang University (MFLU) is a public autonomous university located in Chiang Rai, Thailand. Named in honor of the King's mother, Princess Mother Srinagarindra (Mae Fah Luang), the university's mission is to develop the northern region of Thailand through education and research. MFLU is set on a beautiful, sprawling campus and is renowned for its unique and specialized programs in areas such as Chinese studies, aromatherapy, traditional medicine, and social entrepreneurship. The university places a strong emphasis on applied knowledge, community engagement, and sustainable development, creating graduates who are both academically proficient and socially responsible.
